#031 November & December product updates

It’s been an exciting two months since Itsy’s launch, and I wanted to share some of the key updates that have helped shape our platform into something even more powerful and flexible for travel operators.

I kicked off with a major refresh of our customer-facing views. The new interface makes navigation easier, status updates clearer, and everything you need is right where you'd expect it. Your feedback on this update has been amazing, and it’s given me energy to push forward with more improvements.

In the early weeks, I hit my first performance challenge as order volumes surged. While it was an unexpected hurdle, it helped me strengthen Itsy’s infrastructure to handle bigger traffic spikes with confidence. Not long after, I also attracted interest from an international agency, opening doors to exciting possibilities beyond Iceland.

One of the standout features we launched is our automated notification system. This tool makes sure your customers are always informed with timely updates, saving you from having to manually manage every booking. Itsy does the work for you, keeping communication seamless and efficient.

I didn’t stop there. The new deposit management system gives you full control over payment timing, and with trip tagging, you can easily organize and categorize your trips. Plus, trips are no longer limited to fixed lengths – now, one departure can offer multiple durations, making it easier than ever to customize your offerings.

The journey to these solutions has been a collaborative effort with our amazing community of hosts and travelers. Your feedback has helped me craft features that feel both intuitive and powerful, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve built together.
