Been working on things under the hood this week. Rewrote the Rates a bit so that it is more clear how the products in the trips are priced. Simplified the products as well as I removed all product variants from the system.

Series update The slug is now editable for both the Serie and the Trip, making it easier to generate unique urls for the public booking process for each Trip.

Thoughts

When doing these rewrites, as I did with the rates this week, I am trying to think like a user with no knowledge. Try to have the UI explain itself as much as possible so that I don't have to spend as much time doing support.

When cleaning up the rates, I made it more clear on what each pricing option means, how any change can affect the total price of the Trip and make the prices as easy as possible to work on and upgrade.

With the endless brightness here in Iceland during the summer, it can get a bit tricky to get work motivation, but I am pretty happy with the progress this week and excited to see what the rest of the summer can bring.
